Context
A world-changing idea still needs language. The startup behind the world’s first robotically-sewn garment needed to explain a breakthrough in manufacturing automation to investors, press and potential hires in terms that were clear, credible and compelling.
Contribution
As a communications and editorial consultant, I helped develop Sewbo’s web copy, job descriptions and press materials during an early and pivotal stage of the company’s growth. The work required translating a genuinely novel technical concept into language that non-specialists could understand and get excited about.
Outcome
Sewbo went on to be covered by MIT Technology Review, Fast Company, TechCrunch, Reuters, The Economist and The Financial Times — and remains one of the most fascinating startups in manufacturing automation.
“As a colleague and friend, Anastasia is always of help and a great pleasure to work with. In her writing, she has a rare talent for communicating complex ideas in a persuasive, effective, and professional manner. I have been lucky enough to benefit from Anastasia’s talents on a number of occasions and can gladly recommend her for any writing or editorial role.” – Jonathan Zornow, Founder and CEO of Sewbo
